VisitBritain: We're Good To Go

Institute members are now eligible to sign up with VisitBritain's newly released 'We're Good To Go' industry standard, for use in their promotional materials and website. This is designed to help offer assurance to visitors and clients that their experience with yourselves will be as safe from transmission risks as possible as the tourism sector works towards reopening.

Guild, APTG and Driver-Guides Association members will also be able to sign up to this standard via those organisations, as this has been achieved collaboratively with VisitBritain between our four parties.

To be able to use this logo, members will need to apply to the site linked in the press release below. You will be asked to confirm membership, allowing Visit Britain to cross-check with us that applicants are indeed current members.

Once VisitBritain have confirmation that applicants are a member, an e-mail will be issued with the logo; certificate and a set of guidelines to help.

A sample COVID-19 risk assessment has been circularted to Institute members by email, to add to your guiding toolkit. The risk assessment template is just one component of the appraisal you would do for any tour covering e.g. the clients, sites, itinerary, and any other hazards.  Additionally, a few relevant links - including a HSE sample risk assessment - are included below.  Please be aware that this is not an exhaustive list of all available tools, but hopefully will be of assistance.
