Blue Badge Tourist Guide Gift Vouchers - Terms and Conditions:

  1. The voucher covers the cost of your guide when booked via the British Guild of Tourist Guides. Where entry tickets are needed, these are extra, and should be discussed with the chosen guide when the voucher is redeemed.
  2. The voucher can be used towards a tour on public holidays and/or in a language other than English or a driver guide but recipients are advised that an additional fee will be payable directly to the guide.
  3. The voucher does not include the cost of transport to a visitor attraction.
  4. The voucher is valid until 31 March 2022. It must be redeemed and used by 31 March 2022.
  5. Once purchased, the voucher cost is not refundable.
  6. The British Guild of Tourist Guides will hold the voucher payment until the tour has been completed when the guide will be paid.
  7. All the guides have public liability insurance.
  8. Whilst every effort will be made to arrange for the chosen guide to undertake the tour, the British Guild of Tourist Guides reserves the right to provide a different guide for the visit.
  9. The British Guild of Tourist Guides also reserves the right to amend or cancel this offer in the event that the booking cannot be fulfilled due to Government regulations or legislation. If such circumstances prevent a booking being honoured, then a refund of the voucher cost will be given. Government guidelines regarding health & safety will always be a priority and will be strictly adhered to.

The Institute of Tourist Guiding (www.itg.org), the professional body for tourist guides, is committed to developing, maintaining and promoting professional standards in tourist guiding. It represents around 1,400 fully-qualified Blue Badge Tourist Guides across England, Northern Ireland and Jersey, all of whom have undergone extensive training in order to qualify for this prestigious qualification. Many are qualified to guide in a language other than English (some 42 languages in total are spoken fluently, including sign language) and all are fully briefed and up-to-date on social distancing and Covid compliance, as well as health and safety, and first aid.
